residence permit for wife,

Dear Toulouse friends,   I was in toulouse ( now i am in montpellier, doing postdoc).   I am worried about the residence permit for my wife. She arrived here in september  on dependent visa. she got a postdoc position upto july 31, 2010 and joined on first november . Her 3 months validity of dependent  visa expired on 10 november, and we applied for residence permit on 6 november. She has her own convention d'accueil from prefecture. Dear Mr. Santosh,

• It is a regular process and you need not tense.
• Take an appointment with Prefecture for "change of status"( I guess you have done that!)
• Submit the form for change of status with all requisite documents asked by the prefecture.
  
• International office of your university or Institution can also help you to get an appointment or to process documents.
  
• With all sufficient/supporting documents, the visa/récépissé will be issued to your wife valid for the entire period of employment with new status "Scientific".
• The tenure and validity of this new visa is independent of your visa status or validity.
