what $cfg['allow_register'] for?

Subject: what $cfg['allow_register'] for?
While configuring LDAP I added option "$cfg['allow_register'] = false"
to my idf.php like it provided in documentation, but I'm unable to
find any reference to that option anywhere in pluf or indefero (except
idf.php). What this option for?
I guess this is for disabling users registration but users still can register.

Do a grep on "allow_register" in the code, it may be an artifact of some
old code.

Its not part of idf.php-dist anymore and its not used anywhere either.

BTW. You can add there that for LDAPS connections auth_ldap_host
should be 'ldaps://hostname/'
