Visual Basic/Gui Developer

Job description: Seeking a Visual Basic/Gui Developer with 7-10 years
experience for its client in Rockville, Maryland. The successful
candidate will be a member of the Software Engineer Team supporting
the design and development activities associated with a complex
benefit payment system for the Veterans Benefits Administration.
Design responsibilities include interfacing directly with the
customer, UML modeling and technical documentation using object-
oriented techniques and tools, (Rational Rose). Development
responsibilities include providing production support and coding
application logic code in Visual Basic in a Windows environment.
Knowledge of industry best practices is recommended.

Job Qualifications/Requirements: This position is a contract to hire,
90 day conversion. The candidate must be either a US Citizen or a
Permanent Resident. 7 -10 years experience in Visual Basic application
development. UML modeling, OOA/OOD skills and experience with Rational
Rose, (or similar tool). Good communication skills, familiarity with
tools and methodologies supporting application design and development.
An accounting or financial background a plus. Must be able to pass a
