The Technical Developer has responsibility over technical solution design, development, deployment/cutover, legacy conversion and implementations - covering all technical aspects of the PeopleSoft implementation lifecycle. The Technical Developer has hands-on experience with PeopleTools 8.50, Application Designer, Component Interface, Application Engine, SQR, SQL, Integration Broker, PS Query, and other integration technologies. The Technical Developer also had deep knowledge of the PeopleSoft Financial modules AP, AR, BI, ePro and GL application fundamentals.
The successful individual will leverage their knowledge and experience to:
• Code, test, debug, implement, and document moderately complex programs. Create appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation.
• Designs systems and programs to meet complex business needs.
• Prepares detailed specifications from which programs are developed and coded. Ensures programs meet standards and technical specifications; performs technical analysis and component delivery.
• Writes specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity.
• Assists support and/or project personnel in resolving moderately complex program problems. Works with client and management to resolve issues and validate programming requirements within their areas of responsibility. Provide technical advice on complex programming.
• Develops test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs.
• Remains abreast of industry technical trends and new development to maintain current skills and remain current with industry standards.
• Play a key role during small to medium projects.
The accomplished individual will possess:
• The person must also be able to work with the business users and client management in applying functional knowledge within those same modules.
• Ideally the person has some knowledge of multicurrency and international operations of the packages.
• Needs to have excellent verbal and written skills and be able to handle the onsite/offshore model of a team structure.
• Analytical and problem solving skills for design, creation and testing of programs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Multiply full Life Cycles of upgrades and legacy conversions
• Organized & energetic
The ideal candidate should have:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or related field preferred.
• Six or more years of programming or testing experience.
• Experience working with appropriate programming languages, operating systems and software.
• This role must be knowledgeable in PeopleSoft 9.X financials including, but not limited to, AP/AR/GL/ePro/Billing at the expert level.
