We website using In-Portal doesn't have front-end part, e.g. typing "http://www.site.com" leads directly to administrative console (no need to write "/admin" each time), then it's interface presets doesn't work. In this case we define special variable in "config.php" file named "AdminDirectory" with empty value (has "/admin" by default).

Interface preset manager assumes, that all site configs are located under that directory. I propose to define interface preset directory in "config.php" too. Not in ConfigurationValues table to prevent additional SQL on every page load. On other hand we can hardcode, that interface presets always are located inside "/admin" directory no matter what happens.

It's my 2nd project without administrative console since last month (about 1 project per month with such issue), so I'm worried about solution.

Hi Alex,

I am waiting for hardcoding location of Preset Interfaces to be always
underneath of AdminDirectory.

I am all for having a new config.php variable called AdminDirectory. In
case if variable is missing we'll use default hardcoded value - which
points to admin/, but will be in affect if present in config.php file.

Ready for task? I say we add this to 5.1.0 unless you think it better
suits 5.0.4.

What you described is same as it works for now. We already have "AdminDirectory" variable in config.php file for quite a long time.

Sorry Alex, I kind of messed up here :)

Anyway, back on to your questions.

What we should do is to add ability to overwrite location of SystemPresets via config.php. Let's call that option as AdminPresetsDirectory which will be in affect when presents in the file, otherwise we are working as is now.

Let's confirm on this and create a task with this.

Task has been filed for this:

702: Add ability to specify Admin System Preset directory in config.php
