Abdur Rahman was diagnosed with Acute T-Cell Lymphoblastic Cancer ( a form of blood cancer) in 2008.He was 20 years of age at that time.Despite extensive chemotherapy in Agha Khan University Hospital, in Karachi, it transpired that he needed a stem cell transplant.
The family decided to take Abdur Rahman to Singapore for this treatment. We did not have enough finances for the transplant and we therefore launched an appeal for donation.AlhamdulilAllah, hundreds and thousands of people , friends, relatives, acquaintances and complete strangers donated for his transplant. It is a miracle of Allah Subhana Ta Allah, that more than half of the amount needed was arranged within three-four days.
Abdur Rahman, left for Singapore on the 25th of February 2009, with two of his elder brothers,one of whom was the donor for the transplant. Abdur Rahman was immediately admitted into the hospital and underwent extensive tests, after which he was given aggressive chemotherapy dosage.
His body responded to the Chemotherapy and all of us were full of hope again. However, Allah Subhana wa Ta Allah has bigger and better plans for his believers, that we cannot possibly comprehend even if we try. Our dearest brother, Abdur Rahman met with his Creator in the Singapore General Hospital on the 21st of March 2009. He was 21 years of age at that time.

Please Pray to Allah (swt) for Abdur Rehman's soul to be bestowed the honor and relief of Jannat-ul-Firdous and for our family and parents to give us patience and strength to carry forward each breath with him always around us.. forever.Ameen Sum Ameen.
