Although IMSMA NG incorporates a GIS interface, we are aware that some
mine action programmes that have GIS experts are interested in using
the more advanced functionality of the full ESRI ArcGIS suite. IMSMA
NG is developed so that it is easy to connect a stand-alone ArcGIS
installation to the database. However, ArcGIS can be expensive and the
cost vary significantly from country to country. To get around this we
have negotiated an agreement with ESRI that gives users of IMSMA the
possibility to upgrade ArcGIS 9.2 to 9.3 version or to purchase new
ArcGIS licenses. Please note that you have to upgrade to release 5.05
of IMSMA NG in order to use ArcGIS 9.3.
The software price will based on the International Price and will be
approximately (partly depending on how many licenses that will be
requested globally):
- 600 USD for the upgrade from 9.x to 9.3 (or so called maintenance
activation);
- 1'500 USD to purchase a new license ArcView 9.3.1.
If you are interested in such proposition we ask you to send us the
following information:
- Name of your organization;
- Complete contact information;
- Type and quantity of ArcGIS licenses to be upgraded;
- Type and quantity of ArcGIS licenses to be bought;
- Your local ESRI distributor - if known.
This message should be directed to our GIS intern, Inna Cruz at
i.c...@gichd.org and copied to me d.eri...@gichd.org
We hope to be able to make one round of upgrades/purchases a year and
would appreciate if all requests for this round are sent to us before
29th of January.
Please note:
- This lower price might limit the support that will be provided by
your regional ESRI reseller.
- Legacy versions of IMSMA (1.x; 2.x ; 3.x) are only compatible with
the 3.x versions of ArcView. We have a limited number of licenses of
that version in stock, which we can donate upon request.
With best regards,
Daniel Eriksson
