Hello!

We would like to take this opportunity to invite your college to Mood
indigo 2009.

Mood Indigo - the annual cultural event of IIT Bombay, is presently in
its 39th reincarnation. With over 150 Events ranging from dramatics,
dance and music to glamorous professional concerts, Mood Indigo is
widely considered as the hot bed of budding talent and the biggest
meeting ground for over 60,000 students. Competitions held at Mood
Indigo have been known to be appreciated by professionals of all
genres.For 4 days and 4 nights, from 21st December to 24th December
2009 everyone will bask in the magic of Mood Indigo. This year we have
participants from over 5 countries participating and competing at Mood
Indigo.

This year performing live at Livewire Night we have Porcupine Tree
performing exclusivley for Mood Indigo. In the past, IIT Bombay has
seen glamourous performances by maestros such as Ensiferum,
Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Sonu Nigam, Jagjit Singh, Pankaj Udhas, Hema
Malini, Zero, Indian Ocean, Parikrama- the list is endless!

In the movie making genre, we have the following competition:-

Shoot em up! - Movie Making Competition

Lights, Camera....Action!"Movies are art and the spirit of the movie
depends on the creators." For those of you who've always secretly
dreamed of being the next Satyajit Ray, good news is here! This year,
you get the chance to channel your unexplored potential in the world
of film-making. So what are you waiting for? Grab your cast, camera
and Director's hat...It s Showtime!

FORMAT: Participants will have to make a movie on the theme "RED". Any
interpretation of the theme is acceptable.

TIME LIMIT: 4 -8 minutes

Movie selected for the final round shall be screened at Mood Indigo.

RULES:
• Multiple entries are allowed. One entry will be the contingent entry
(points will be counted for college trophy) and others will be termed
open entries.

• Movie should be in Hindi or English or both. No other languages will
be allowed

• Please note that we will not be responsible for postal delays,
losses or damages – Make sure you send in entries sufficiently before
the deadline

• You may use any video camera you deem suitable for shooting the
movie. However, we strongly discourage low-resolution cameras,
including webcams and mobile-phone cameras

• To be able to secure a position in this event, at least one of the
participants or the CL of the college, must be present at Mood Indigo,
with ID cards for the entire team

• Obscenity (at the discretion of the judges) of any kind is not
allowed and will lead to immediate disqualification• Time Limit should
be followed. Participants will be penalized by judges

• The decision of the judges will be Final and binding

JUDGING CRITERIA: Effective portrayal of theme, Editing,
Cinematography, Script, Acting, Sound design and overall impact.

PRIZES:
1st Prize: 10,000INR
2nd Prize: 7,000INR
3rd Prize: 5,000INR

SUBMISSION: Completed movies (accompanied by the name of the college
and a list of team members and their role in the making of the movie)
must be submitted before the 10th of December 2009 in .mpeg or .avi
FORMATs only (though .mpeg FORMAT is known to provide better quality
videos than .avi) in one of the following ways
