Snacks will be provided but extras are welcome.
If you would like to participate in the short cleanup event, it is
recommended that you wear shoes that you don't mind getting dirty, and
bring reusable / washable gloves.
If you would like to bring a snack to share, please bring something
not packaged in plastic. (For example: fruit, boxed crackers, juice in
glass bottles.)
RSVPs appreciated.

About 7 people from the IMC and wider community attended a great
presentation on the wonders and dangers of plastic, and we had a good
meditation and lively discussion. Four of us cleaned up a section of
Redwood Creek on James Avenue near Sequoia High School. Dave of the
Redwood Creek Preservation Trust talked about how his community at
Docktown is affected by the trash and pollution heading down the creek
to the Bay (www.romancingthecreek.org). He hopes some people with
more of an understanding of the environmental issues can help in
talking to City Council about finding ways to cut down the trash
flowing into the bay.
Please contact me if you are interested in having another Green
Sangha presentation or starting a Green Sangha group here on the
Peninsula. Or if you would love to do another creek cleanup or a
trail cleanup in a park.
