Is it normal for roadblocks to be set up in residential areas? I'm not
questioning the need for roadblocks, and I understand that the Station
Road bridge might seem like a sweet spot, but it does mean a lot of
noise right outside our house, usually near or after midnight, in the
middle of the week.

Would the roadblock be less effective if it were set up on Liesbeeck
Parkway? Or even further down Station Road?

I realise that we're the last house in Obs, so probably are the only
ones bothered by this, but when I say that it's right outside our
house, I do mean directly outside the window.

Perhaps you could address this with the newly established Observatory Community Policing Sub-Forum - Chairman is Henk Stuterheim.  I will forward this email to the committee

Is there any way to contact the Observatory Community Policing Sub-

Thanks!

Henk Stutterheim is the Chair

I'll send an email to your privately - also his contacts should be on
the obs.org.za website under the OCA - not sure if the OCPS has a web
page on the community portal yet.
