Greetings from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani!

I am pleased to inform  you that the the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani in association with Management Libraries Network (MANLIBNET) is organizing a Two- Day Librarian Development Programme (LDP)  "Elements of Effective Librarianship"  from 8-9 April 2016 at BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, Rajasthan.

In this hyper-connected society, the  users expectations from the library are very different than what they were about a decade ago.  If we don’t care and adapt to their needs then there would be a void between librarians and users.This implies acquiring cutting edge knowledge on how to achieve this and learn the necessary skills to bring in the desired changes in our libraries.

 

The main objective of this workshop is to equip librarians with:

 1.  New skills on content development that are crucial for providing the need based library services to the users. 
 2.  Desired techniques so that they can develop the customer centric library services. 
 3.  Marketing and promotional acumen for effective delivery of library services.
 4.  The necessary skills  to develop the team and to make the library as a vibrant place.

THE REGISTRATION FEE:

Rs. 2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand Only)

ACCOMMODATION:

Rs. 1000/-per day on a shareable basis at Institute's  guest house between the two occupants i.e. Rs. 500/-per day, per head.
