Unfortunately, the format of the metadata information stored in video files varies from camera to camera, and Camera Manufactures as well. So I would like to collect a set of sample videos for testing to ensure that Exiv2 will be able to read the metadata from the widest possible set of files.
If you have a camera that can record videos, you can help by recording a short video and attaching it to this Forum post ( http://dev.exiv2.org/boards/3/topics/1189), as a reply, if you are a member of Exiv2 community as well. Or you can directly mail the video to my email address. My email-id is, mail.abu...@gmail.com
The video can be *as short as you like (1 second is fine)* and *can be at low resolution* since we're only interested in the metadata. Please keep the video file less than 5 megabytes in size if possible. *When you attach the file, please enter the name of your camera in the text box labeled "Optional Description", or state it in the contents of the mail. *Thanks for your help!
I need as many samples as possible so if anyone possesses more than one camera, then please upload/send samples from all camera. It could also be videos recorded from your mobile/cell phones as well, since nearly all mobile makers now do support camera functionality. So please upload as many as possible. It really doesn't matter if some other member has already posted it or not, any sample contributed, would just be great.
You may also send me link of the sample video, if you already have any uploaded video sample (original content only).
*One Important Note* - Please attach *only self made videos*. Also I need permission to publish (publicly on a wiki page) the video, that you submit. So if you contribute, I would be considering that you have permitted the publishing of the video as well. I would be publishing all of video samples collected (from Exiv2 forums and all other resources possible) in a wiki page soon, so that the video can be accessible to other developers as well, who would wish to undertake similar project in the near future.
If you have any problem attaching the file or have any query, you are always welcome to mail me directly.

Just one more advertising point to encourage video contribution, if someone
contributes a video, the software will definitely work with that person's
camera. :)

+1
Good Point..!! :)
Definitely, the software would be designed specifically to take care of
that Camera Make.

Definitely, every video sample is worthwhile. I think every video that is
streamed also contains metadata. Though, if you are correct, there are
chances that camera maker-notes might get lost during streaming.
Nevertheless, I would be glad if you would submit a sample. :)
