how to connect 3g in ubuntu by using dongle

when i am trying to connect to internet....then it shows message


"fail to connect link ppp0 wasn't built"

What should i do ...please help

Generally we connect internet through dongle using wvdial, it again depend which dongle you are using.Well in the mean time have a look at the link below in case if you hadn't yet.

You can always use network manager for the same if you are using ubuntu.

Once you install the dependencies. Then after connecting dongle , you have to type following command from command line.

"sudo modprobe usbserial vendor=0x1c9e product=0x9605"

I am using micromax MMX353G on ubuntu and its working fine. I hope it works. 

You can even connecting 3g with bluetooth, if dongle is not working.

install latest usb-modeswitch usb-modeswitch-data from offical site. because repository does not have latest version.
