Hello Shirin,

I assume that  your agenda proposal is also meant for the IHE pharmacy Group and I have been so frank to forward it as well to the IHE pharmacy list.

With kind regards,

Dear colleagues,

Yesterday, WG6 discussed the upcoming joint meeting with IHE and HL7 and we would like to present an update on the following topics and ask for feedback from your side on relevant documents and activities in HL7 & IHE:

1. The intention and purpose of 3 New Projects (ballots starts in June):

           a. Health informatics – Requirements for Medicinal Product Dictionaries

           b. Health Informatics - Requirements for a record of the Dispense of a Medicinal Product

           c. Health informatics – Data elements and structures for identification of extemporaneous and magistral (compound) pharmaceutical preparations without marketing authorisation

2. prEN ISO/DTS 17251 'Health Informatics - Business requirements for the exchange of structured dose instructions for medicinal products' > this item will be reballoted as New Project in June.

3.  prEN ISO 17253 'Health informatics – Requirements for electronic prescriptions' > this item will proceed to CD ballot: 1st ballot in which technical comments are asked.

I am happy to share documentation on these items with you. Perhaps these can be circulated together with the draft agenda?

When are you planning to circulate the draft agenda?

Kind regards,

Shirin

Michael

That makes sense. You remember that the nominated liaison between HL7 pharmacy and WG 6 is Scott, and unfortunately he will not be in Atlanta. But I will be with you and possibly with some news from WG 6.

Best

Hello Melva, Hugh,

Would it be an idea to discuss the agenda of the joint ISO, IHE and HL7 meeting at Nictiz in the Q1 session of  Wednesday 8th of May in Atlanta? This is the slot for ISO WG 6 topics.

I think we need to include some time to continue our work on medication profile if we will have participation from stakeholders that have been working on this.

Hi,

I’d like to put an agenda in place for this day, not least because it helps people to justify their attendance.  Rather than pushing my own ideas I’d like to gather suggestions from you all.  I don’t think circulating the entire HL7/IHE/WG6 membership is necessarily appropriate, but please feel free to forward to any individuals you think may have useful input to agenda setting.

Regards
Hugh
