*Subject:* student scholarships for Grace Hopper celebration for Women in
Computing conference open !!!
Dear All,
I wish to introduce a wonderful opportunity for the engineering girl
students brought in by the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology,
California. I was proffered an award named "ABI Change agent Award" which
is given to three people in the world who has worked for the society. This
award was distributed during their world famous conference in Baltimore in
early October. The highlight of the conference is the biggest career fair
for the engineering girls and around 150 top companies like Intel, Google,
microsft, yahoo, linked in, Apple, ABB, Net Apps, Cisco etc participated.
Now this conference is being organised in India on December 13th and
14th 2012. And the astonishing thing is that they are offering student
scholarships which includes travel, lodging, food and registration. Pl see
http://gracehopper.org.in/2012/participate/student-scholarships/ for more
details. And urge your students and friends to register at the earliest
possible moment since it is going to be on a first come first served basis.
The students also can *post their resume* here :
http://gracehopper.org.in/2012/participate/submit-your-resume/
This is a wonderful opportunity for the *undergraduates and graduates *to
get their dream jobs. So pl urge your female students to register.
The conference website gives very comprehensive details on the technical
and non technical sessions, poster sessions, forum discussions and other
events. Attending GHC is an incredible experience for any technical woman!
Regards
Ramalatha

Thank you Prerna for the prompt action.
Dear All,
I am involved with GHC as a speaker as well as the IEEE WIE partner.
They have offered us some student scholarships and I have decided to select
some of the outstanding WIE volunteers for this. Could you please select
one WIE student volunteer from your section and give me her details? It is
urgent but I would appreciate a fair selection process so I will set the
last date as 15th of this month. Thank you very much for doing this. The
student will get free registration as well as all expenses as given in the
website.
I would also appreciate it if you can ask the other students to register
at the earliest since they have only few scholarships left. But if they can
manage the other expenses, they can attend the career fair free.
With best regards
Ramalatha
