Here is a map that should be pointing at the right building and the
visitor parking lot near it:

Subject: Jon Dean from EA to talk on the U of U campus.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jon Dean, VP of Electronic Arts, to Speak To Local Game Developers
University of Utah, Salt Lake City - Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 7:00
PM - Game Development in Utah is flourishing more now than ever. And
with so many local developers looking to distinguish themselves in the
industry, it's wise to look back at the development of successful
projects of the past.
Jon Dean, VP/Executive Producer for EA Interactive, made his mark in
1993 with the production of Ninendo's Starfox, which went on to become
one of the most well-known franchises in the gaming industry.
On Thursday, March 22, 2012, In association with the Entertainment
Arts and Engineering: Master's Game Studio, Jon Dean will be speaking
at the University of Utah at the Orson Spencer Hall, Auditorium 175
about his experiences in approaching game development and design
during the creation of the Starfox project, and how those lessons can
apply to modern game development.
For directions to the Orson Spencer Hall see the Link to map

I may be able to get there before 7pm, if anybody doesn't know how to
get to the building, we can meet somewhere near the U, and then drive
there together or something. Just a thought. ;)

I'm not sure if the link works or not, but I put the Marriott Library
as the destination. :)

You can park in any U, A, or E lot after 6:00 PM without being ticketed. You can even park in reserved spaces in lots after 6:00 PM as long as they are not 24 hour reserved spots (98% of them are not). When you go to the website, click on the U, A, and E boxes on the left and you can see where all of the lots are. You can also easily find Orson Spencer Hall by typing "OSH" or "Orson Spencer Hall" into the Search Map field in the top left of the page. That will give you a better idea of where parking lots are in relation to the building.
Be advised that many students with evening classes park in these lots, so you may want to arrive 30 minutes early in case you have trouble finding a spot that is close. The lots just west of the library are usually full, so I wouldn't try parking there. Also, construction is taking up half of one of those lots. The lots near the Huntsman Center, to the south, are usually pretty full also since there are a lot of Business classes taught in the evening. Your best bet is probably to park in a lot north or east of the OSH building. There are fewer evening classes taught on those sides of campus.
I hope this helps.

Wow, I guess you weren't just joking after all!
I attached an image, enhanced with the power of PAINT, which shows
where the surrounding parking lots are, with their labels, and also
shows the address and location of the Hall. Note, the tool tip with
the address DOES NOT cover up any parking spots. :P
Good luck all to everyone attending!
