Any thoughts on this one:

"The movie contains an incorrect time value."

When i'm adding a movie to the queue.

Thanks,

Shawn

This message is produced by QuickTime and usually indicates that the video file is not 100% valid (some videos created by HandBrake have this problem). To avoid errors like this as much as possible, make sure you have the latest version of Perian installed.
Also, if you are handling .mp4 files containing AC3 tracks (which is not valid) errors like this can occur. Renaming the file to .m4v sometimes helps.

Thanks for the response(s) Jendrik. I've installed the latest version
of Perian and tried renaming the file suffixes to .M4V, no luck I
still get:

"An invalid public movie atom was found in the movie"

This is truly unfortunate as these are my Bluray Godfather trilogy
rips.. ;(

Still a great app, but I lose about 30% of my library due to this
error.

Thanks again!!

I have done a bit more research on this. It seems as if this error can occur, if QuickTime is missing a codec needed for the videos.
Can you please check what kind of video/audio tracks the files have and if you have all necessary codecs installed?

Jendrik,

I seem to have all the necessary codecs to watch the movie using VLC.
Are there a particular set of codecs your app requires (other than the
latest Perian, which I have).

Thanks again!

I may be incorrect in my knowledge of the app but it relies on quicktime.
If you have a file that needs a codec to play in QT then you need that codec present for iFlicks.
It relies on QT which relies on the necessary codec to encode the file.
I suggest you try encoding this file you have (or is it multiple files?) with QT.
Are you getting the same errors after you do this?
What type of file is it. Not just the container but what is in the container?
Where did you get the file from (rapidshare, Megashares, etc)?
Can I download it and try encoding it?
Can you share the links... or point me to it?
you can personally email me if you would rather not share the links on this forum....
