I'll see what I can do. It shouldn't be to much work to add a rule for this.

MASSIVE BUG JENDRICK!!

When i try to encode 720p MKV to the universal format, the videos turns out like this in iTunes:

Please do something about it

I just don't understand why this would happen. Now i have to use Handbreak for MKV 720p because iFlicks just won't do.

It would be sad to see you go David. You've done nothing but complain
about a piece of software you are probably yet to pay for. Jendrik
develops the app out of love, not out of the millions of dollars that
people like yourself have donated to its development.

Jendrik - I hope I'm not out of line, but this guy has been a pain in
the arse for those of us who like the software, not demand that it
processes 200 videos at a time because we're ripping movies off the
net at a great rate.

Hi,

I tried to change a few things how subtitles are handled in the last version, but it doesn't seem to work correctly with all movies. I'll have a closer look at this tomorrow and let you know.

I don't have anything to do with the app other than being a supporter of it.....
But I don't use iflicks for encoding any HD quality (720P and/or 5.1 audio) for the reason that it is based on QT encodes with perian.
I revert back to VisualHub for these encodes (never had issues and perfect quality "FAST" ) and have iflicks "flatten" it with the metadata.....

Maybe since the VisuaHub code is now free and for the use of all interested parties J. could see about incorporating it into the app.....?
But then again I have no idea hoe easy or hard this would be to do.......

To Moo:

I find it really offensive that you would assume that i haven't purchased the program. In fact the first time i found iFlicks after using metax, i loved it so much that i bought it immediately. Grow a ball, not every is cheap these day. If you want concrete proof go ask Jendrick whether i've purchased or not.

I happen to like iFlick very much, probably just as much as you. Contrary a to popular belief, i happen to rip a lot of my old DVD collection and would like it properly imported into iTunes, for example i have about 100 ABC comedy (on DVD) i've yet to rip.

And if my attitude came across as annoying, well i guess you right then.

Too Nathan:

Good for you.

Jendrick this is the current problem i'm having with iFlicks:

and

Hope i'm not "offending" anyone by posting this bug report.

My point was, in 44 days of being a member, you've made 28 posts which
have all contained a complaint of some sort.

I've been using Microsoft Outlook since it was first released, and it
has always had a flaw in it whereby you can't print an "accepted/not
accepted" lists for meetings. M$ have way more resources than
Jendrick does, and iFlicks is great at iTunes metadata and converting
standard video formats. It can't be all things to all people, as no
software on earth has ever done this. It may be slower or unable to
do some things the way you wish - don't threaten "I'll have to use
handbreak" because that is one possible solution. I'd suggest your
massive bug may be something to do with the way you've got your files
set up.

P.s.: if you "happen to rip a lot of my (your) old DVD collection",
then you'll be happy to know that you can save massive amounts of time
by not ripping them to MKV standards, as that is overkill. And then
iFlicks will be of great assistance to you, and you'll have no
complaints about the software.

I don't want to get into another argument but i'll say this:

Nice assumption on your end, you might wanna elaborate as i've tried
changing the file names. If it doesn't work i'll try another program
just thought Jendrick should know.

I'm ripping my DVD collection with Handbreak then dumping it into
iFlicks. MKV is not the way to go unfortunately.
