Added movies references not shareable?!

Hi,

this is a pretty general, more iTunes related question, still maybe
someone can tell me the reason :-)

The movie references I am adding to my iTunes cannot be shared to my
other Macs/PCs iTunes libraries and I am wondering why?! I mean there
are some information written into the iTunes XML (or whatever type of
file) and so it should be also shareable, or am I mistaken?! I know
the shared file would have not really a use to the imported library,
still I would at least know what I have got.

Maybe somebody can tell a nob why this didnt work :-)

This is a limitation of iTunes. If you want to share the videos you have to import the complete file to your Library and can not just create a Reference. Any other perset should work fine.
