At the Phoenix CFUG, every so often we'd have "assignments". Very
small, basic apps. 2-3 pages at most. A couple of volunteers would
build these, then bring them in and show them at the meeting. It was
always fun to compare/contrast how 2 or 3 different people would take
different approaches to building the same product.
Everyone does things just a little differently. It's cool when you
get that "wow... I never thought of that approach, but I like it"
feeling. Sometimes it's not even code related per se, but some sort
of functionality/feature in the IDE.
I know that Kalen's suggestion is a bit different, but I think it will
accomplish the same end result.

A byte walks into a bar and orders a pint. Bartender asks him "What's
wrong?" Byte says "Parity error." Bartender nods and says "Yeah, I
thought you looked a bit off."
