The Professors in Discussion

A discussion between Barry Katz, IDEO Fellow and historian of design, and Michael Shanks, Professor of Archaeology at Stanford.

This will be a wide-ranging conversation that will probably meander from the shape of 6th century Corinthian perfume bottles to 19th century German optical equipment to the artifacts of 21st century Siliconia, with frequent digressions into art, politics, philosophy and whatever else occurs to them. Barry and Michael often teach together and share a common interest in the complex ways in which people use, experience, and interact with objects  This should be a stimulating and unpredictable way to end the day.
