we will arrive at london the 3rd july in the evening and need accomodation for one night as we cannot catch a train to devon the same day.
is there anybody in london who can host us (we are two) or has an idea?

I am afraid I can't arrange accommodation for people in London. I would suggest trying to find a cheap youth hostel.
