Hi again,

Would it be possible to have plugins that support those image formats
(CMD FD-2000 and CMD HD Native Partition?) just like the vd64 etc?

d2m and d4m might be useful, as there's an image writer for them, but dnp not
so much. This would require partition and subdirectory handling and I think
there would be not enough memory for a fully functional plugin. Image files
are useful for archiving, but only have disadvantages compared to the native
filesystem.

It depends on how much memory is used and how often it must be "paged in". If
this type of operation was not in mind when the software was designed it's
non-trivial to support it without rewriting/rearranging most parts.
