[noob] Compaq CQ40

Salam....

Mau bertanya, ada yang pake Compaq CQ40 di install Slackware ?
Udah mentok dengan Wifi nya, maklum pemula nih.... :(

Saya pake Slackware 13.0 di Compaq CQ40,
Tinggal Wifi yang belum bisa jalan :(

eth0 no wireless extensions.

Doh... kagak ada itu si eth1 ato wlan0
kok ada 2 ya, di usb sama pci, biasanya yang di lsusb kagak ada.

Terusan tak install b43-firmware sama b43-fwcutter,
setelah itu di /lib/firmware udah ada b43
kemudian modprobe b43 (gak tau ini bener apa kagak),

habis itu di iwlist, iwconfig, ifconfig juga kagak muncul :(

Wah... dah gak tau lagi deh.... mohon pencerahannya kakak...

Sekarang koneknya pake USB Wifi TP-Link TL-WN322G
Kalo yang ini colok langsung ok...
tapinya menuh - menuhin slot USB jadinya :(

perlu ada tombol untuk aktifasi wireless dulu gak?
lalu testnya pake iwconfig

Ada, aku nonaktifkan pake tombol itu, terus di aktifin lagi,

setelah itu iwconfig :

wifinya gak muncul juga,
liat di dmesg setelah tombol tadi itu :

hm... berarti harus pake modprobe usbserial dan dilengkapi dengan
parameter idVendor dan idProduct

hehehee the last resort ya mas willy, pake ndiswrapper. biasanya masalahnya bisa langsung teratasi.
Tapi yang bikin bingung, sempet baca-baca di LKML, Linus kok sengit banget (baca: sebel) yak kalo ngomongin ndiswrapper?
Kalo yang saya tangkep kayanya linus ga suka ndiswrapper karena ngejalanin modul proprietary non-GPL di atas kernel linux yang
notabene GPL2... CMIIW

#iwconfig wlan1 essid "nama-essid"

langsung konek deh wicd nya.
