Hey there everyone,

The eurobot finals are on the 9th of May till the 12th, we need to decide if we are going to go. The issue is that the Mech-eng people seem to have exams during the event, the Oskar Ryan and Myself are not fantastically enthused with the idea, having a very large project to get moving. Anyone who was working on the project (or up for a self-guided crash course in eurobot, then work) is welcome to get stuck in and represent us in France. Our main goal going into the competition would be to learn as much as possible from the other teams, our own performance is less vital.

The cost of going is something in the realm of £250 when the trip is done traditionally, with Eurostar, youth hostel and simple food. This could be done cheaper if someone drove the team there, maybe camping :p. Obviously this amount of money is too much for individuals, so we would consider asking for provisions from the department/society budget, though it should be a small group of people really excited to go to ensure that the money is used efficiently.

Please let me know ASAP if you are interested in going, of if you have any feedback on how to handle the situation.
