Subject: Inspection incomming data
Version 7.3, working with Wyle G2

We need to validate some of the data that our G2 is sending to IADS
using the IOM.  Is there a method to look at the actual data as it was
received.  We think sometimes the values are too quick (short lived)
to be seen.

We are using a second source into IADS and have the option for the
OpConsole that will log all the data being received.  However, the
data is raw binary.  Is there a utility that will show the data in a
easily viewable format?  Lacking that, is there a format definition so
we can write our own viewer utility.

Thank you for your time

Hi Bryan,

One method is to use the Iads DataFile Viewer (Start->All
Programs->Iads->Iads DataFile Viewer) on the resultant data files.

The most common method we use is to employ a display with history (such as
the StripChart), freeze/pause the data, and use the cursor keys to move to
hint by one data point. Sometimes we export the data from the StripChart to
Excel or use the "Log to Window" option.

Hope this helps,
Jim
