• 台灣水和空氣的污染幾乎到了不能住人的地步.  這樣的污染不只不會和緩, 每日劇烈地悪化.  胡志強台中市長九年破壞了幾乎所有綠地. 再四年, 所有綠地將全消失.  台中人正在學習著存活在沒有綠地, 氧氣稀薄, 處處毒氣和大便味的 cesspool.
• 台灣縣市議員選舉採一人一票最多投一人的所謂 Single Non-Transferable Vote or SNTV制.  SNTV是不公平的選舉制度, 以致於全世界只有台灣和南太平洋的小島國 Vanuatu 使用.   台灣人雅雀無聲.
• 中國國民黨侮辱美國人的選舉為公投綁大選.  台灣人雅雀無聲.
• 西藏人努力地想掙脫中國的魔掌.  台灣人賣力地把子孫變成西藏人.

Dear all,

I can’t believe how absurd this incident is--- Taiwan doctor should win the award for healing a facial wounded victim in a few hours.  First, the shooter is a poor little gangster with a few coins in his pocket while the hero who rescues Mr. Lien happens to be a former gangster leader from one sect of Bamboo United at a KMT gathering.  Second, there is no damage on Mr. Lien’s nerves, bone structure, and teeth so that Mr. Lien is able to talk, eat, and chew few hours after shooting.  Finally, with 3 cameras recording at the scene, the police can’t explain how this bullet shooting upward ends up shooting downward toward the bystander on the ground and causes one innocent life.  Should the family of this bystander deserve an explanation from the police?  Shouldn’t the police owe all Taiwanese an explanation for failing to do their jobs at the scene?  Why should Ma’s government tell everyone to stop looking into details only because it will hurt the victims?  Who will be the next victim if no one looks into the truth behind this absurd incident?  Should Taiwanese expect to a gangster leader to rescue their lives when shooting occurs?

Legislative speaker: Absurd to say gangsters stage shooting

Taipei, Nov. 30 (CNA) Nothing would be more absurd than to say that the election-eve shooting of the son of a well-known ruling Kuomintang (KMT) figure was choreographed by gangsters, Legislative Yuan Speaker Wang Jin-pyng said Tuesday.

 The Legislative Yuan president offered his opinion to reporters as rumors continued to spread that mobsters were behind the shooting, which killed an innocent bystander and wounded Sean Lien, KMT Honorary Chairman Lien Chan's son, who was stumping for a KMT Xinbei City council candidate.

 Pundits have been scrambling to assess the impact of the incident on the election results, with most agreeing that the killing bullet galvanized voters across the country, helping the KMT take three mayoral seats in central and northern Taiwan and widening the opposition Democratic Progressive Party's (DPP) vote gains in the two cities in southern Taiwan in which elections were held.

 Wang said he was unable to evaluate the effects of the shooting on the electorate's voting behavior, but admitted that "it certainly influenced the elections."

 In an attempt to deflect speculation that the shooting helped Taipei Mayor Hau Lung-bin win re-election, his campaign team published an election-eve survey Tuesday showing that Hau was 10 percentage points ahead of his DPP rival, Su Tseng-chang, as of Nov. 26.

 Hau's team was trying to challenge a theory that Lien's injury influenced more than 100,000 swing voters, mostly from the middle class.

 The Hau campaign's most recent poll results, which could not be made public within the 10 days leading to polling day according to the election law, showed that of 3,277 people surveyed on the eve of election day, 54.84 percent supported Hau and 45.16 percent would vote for Su.

 In the end, Hau garnered 797,865 ballots, or 55.65 percent of the vote, against Su's 628,129 ballots, or 43.81 percent, in the Nov. 27 election.

 Meanwhile, Xinbei City's Mayor-elect Eric Liluan Chu and the city's police chief Lin Kuo-tung said that whoever helps stop violence should be praised, even though such a person might be a criminal.

 They were commenting on reports that Liu Chen-nan, a former gang leader present at the campaign rally where the shooting took place, rushed onstage to stop the gunman firing a second shot at Lien, supposedly saving his life.

 As details of the police investigation emerged, newspapers said that had Liu not acted, Lien might well have been shot dead.

 Doctors at National Taiwan University Hospital, where Lien was being treated, said he was in stable condition.

 Ting Yuan-chao, a spokesman for Lien Chan, said the family has asked the hospital to make public all medical records regarding family scion.

 "The Liens have authorized the hospital to publish the X-ray records on Sean Lien's gunshot wounds, " Ting said, urging the media to stop "weaving stories" about the incident and "hurting the family for a second time."  近距離槍傷在器械外傷的歸類在急診醫學裡是屬於高感染性的傷口之一，特性是穿入處傷口小，比較平整，但是附近皮膚會受到高溫的火藥及金屬碎屑嚴重灼、裂傷；穿出處傷口則是大上好幾倍，依不同子彈之屬性而有所不同，傷口大抵不平整，甚至有受到高旋轉的彈頭破壞之碎骨及殘餘火藥參雜其間。

依據臨床外科經驗，這種由一發子彈能連傷兩人的強力制式手槍造成的深部穿透的複雜不潔槍傷，除非做大規模清創，否則感染是絕對無法避免，甚至因臉部的豐富血管及神經網而造成多重感染、迅速腫脹擴散，以及感染不易控制的病例屢見不鮮，尤其又是位在「臉部危險三角區」（頂點在鼻根及兩側嘴角，因感染易擴散至腦部，故名之），一般無不在會診感染科醫師的密切觀察與治療下，住在隔離床，甚至加護病房（或是恢復室），悉心照顧兩、三個星期，主治醫師才敢將該病人轉往普通病床。

一般事發兩、三天後看到這種患者，臉部大都腫脹得像豬頭一樣，一把鼻涕、一把眼淚、說話支支吾吾、進食痛苦萬分，天天點滴及多種抗生素伺候，間歇發燒個好幾天都是家常便飯，若治療順利的話，消腫及恢復正常進食也是十來天以後的事。但是一一二六的槍擊案，非候選人選前一晚在他人的造勢場合助選被槍擊，事件本身已經夠詭異，加上凶手言之鑿鑿說是認錯人，但是受傷者卻堅持行凶歹徒開槍前清楚喊他的名字外加髒話，更是史所僅見的羅生門。

如今再加上病患四十個小時就說話、進食無礙；七十個小時就轉往一般病房，台大醫院醫師更急著出面說這是「百萬分之一的幸運」等不屬於醫學專業上的奇言怪語，也難怪社會上諸多專業醫師及有口、鼻、顎疾患經驗的網友們，紛紛出面質疑這種此地無銀三百兩的稀有病例！
