Recently I saw a video of a Montana ham making contact with a Florida (think) ham via an 11meter handheld. That said I have an 11meter mobile that is am going to bring over to the shop for a bit.

That said I was presented with a question that I am not sure how to seek the answer.
Will an 11meter signal from Michigan reach the other side of the rockies ala San Fran Bay area?

With good propagation, during the late afternoon, possibly.
Propagation hasn't been that good lately.

Complication: Ham radio operators operate on 10 meters, 11 meters is
the CB band.

I get confused because the radio is 10 and 11meter so I mix up which is which.

This is the video.

I was SO confused when I read that first sentence.  How are hams in Montana different from hams in Florida, and why would you want to make them touch each other?  Is it the curing process?  The pigs?

LOL
