There is a known usability issue with finding files or pictures when
you first open a channel. The easiest way to find out if there is
anything in the channel is just to hit either the left or right hand
scroll wheel. This will take you directly to either the first or the
last instance of any content.
An example of this happening is when a friend publishes a channel with
some pictures in it  and gives you permission to see it. You then look
on your list of Hub channels by clicking Channel>Sho Hub channels. and
selecting your friends channel. After it has finished downloading and
is displayed on your desktop it may be displaying a date which has no
content in it. So in this case just find the latest content by
selecting the right hand scroll button.
