Subject: Known Performance Issues
We currently have a number of known performance issues. These relate
mainly to the quantity and size of image files in channels.
PC channels (ones that you have not published to the Hub) with more
than 1500 pictures may experience a slow down especially if you try to
view all those images in a year view.
If you have a great many images in a channel it can also cause the
application to take a long time to start up.
150+ images in a Hub channel will take some time to open, but it
depends on the speed of your broadband connection.
One tip for getting the application to open quickly is to minimise your
Hub channels before you close or exit the program. This stops the
application having to open them when you start the program again. There
is no need to open and close the program unless you switch your PC off
as the system has been designed to run all the time like Microsoft
Outlook or other email programs.
