Come to Our End-of-Year Green Sanctuary Potluck Sunday, June 8th (06/02/08)

There will be an end of the church year Green Sanctuary Potluck in the Fellowship Building on Sunday, June 8, after the service. As with the previous potluck event, please bring a dish to serve 6-10 people (but no desserts or beverages, please; these will be provided). Local ingredients are best, but don't fret too much...we are just planting our gardens!  Do tote your own cloth napkin, utensils, cup and plate; earn brownie points for bringing extras to outfit a friend in need. We will wrap up the fun and informative table-by-table survey we began back in March to help us on our way to Green Sanctuary Certification.

Just Released: Green Sanctuary Survey Report (04/10/08)

We're pleased to announce the release of the Green Sanctuary Survey Report, which provides a view of our collective environmental footprint in the areas of solid waste reduction, transportation fuel conservation, and smart energy use. The report also contains bits of information on the consequences of our behaviors, a few tips for making better choices, and some pointers to other resources.

The bottom line: we care, we’re good, and there’s room for us to improve, which is what the Green Sanctuary Program is all about!

Enthusiastic Turnout at Green Sanctuary Potluck (01/06/08)

Pam Frederick organized the committee's first event of the year, a potluck lunch held in the Great Room of the Fellowship Building. Turnout was excellent, the contributions delectable, and many participants brought their own utensils, plates and cups. For a more complete report of the event, click here.
