Thanks Cheryl for the excellent update.

I'm hoping that it will work to set this coming Saturday morning as a time to get some of the salvagable items out of the FB.  So far there has only been one request - but I believe we'll want to recover some of the other items that haven't yet been spoken for such as newer light fixtures, good bulletin boards, etc.  We're hoping to involve people who want to help our church become a "Green Sanctuary", as this is a recycling/reuse effort and a great way to begin a larger scale involvement of people in that overall endeavor.

If anyone knows of a reason why we can't be in the building this Saturday morning at 9am - taking down some lighting and bulletin boards (obviously not in the main hall but elsewhere), please let me know.

Thanks again - great job everyone!

We're making great progress on emptying the FB thanks to lots of volunteers!

To date:
  • kitchen items boxed up
  • kitchen counters and cabinets removed (today, by Glen, Jim, David, Eric) and moved to classrooms until moved out (Glen says to be sure to check out the termite damage in the shell of the kitchen.  Cary and Susie -- a "must see" on the 23rd).
  • RE items are being packed
  • piano moved out this morning
  • Evergreen moved out on Monday

Still to do:
  • RE items finished - Wed 6/17
  • leftover items packed - probably Sat morning 6/20.  David and Cheryl to determine how much is left after RE's done packing on Wednesday
  • boxes to parishioner's homes - by Tue 6/23's "Farewell"
  • container delivered by Mon 6/22
  • large items to container - date tbd (David)
  • kitchen counters moved out of building to storage - date tbd (Eric/David)
  • salvageable items taken out - date tbd (Eric)

FINAL DEADLINE:  Building ready to turn over on Tue 6/30.  We're in good shape.

FYI:  only building use from now on is from yoga and taekwondo.  They need the main hall with lights.  Everything else (chairs, tables, etc) can be packed up.  (We can keep one table and a few chairs for BfF's farewell on Tue 6/23 then put it in the storage container.)

Regards, Cheryl
