PS: That last email I sent assumes that your wheel is properly rosined =
up. It could also be that you have a thirsty spot on the wheel (need =
more rosin). Try that first...

Subject: [HG-new] C natural on my higher D chanter

  Hey, folks,

I've been dealing with some issues concerning my C natural when I play =
on my higher D chanter... It makes a really unpleasant sound, but only =
if I play a long note.

I know it could a number of things. I thought that maybe the string =
was too close to the wheel - or maybe not close enough?

I'm attaching a really lousy recording to this message. Please turn up =
your soundboxes in order to listen to it and give me your opinion.

Something else concerning the higher chanter... Do your string usually =
wear out easily? Or do you tend to cover with cotton ll the area in =
touch with the wheel?

Thanks in advance for your help,

  Rique,
