Some sad news

We regret to pass along the news that one of our community is no longer with us.  John Trexler of Charlotte NC died in a bicycle accident on June 9.  John was a very talented multi-instrumentalist, with hurdy-gurdy toward the top of the list of the many instruments he played. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

I only just today saw this. Don't know how I missed it before except that I was on a trip and may just not have seen it among hundreds of other emails when I got home. I am so deeply saddened by this news. It's been years since I've been able to attend Over the Water but I remember John so well for his great kindness and generosity of spirit. What a terrible loss.
