Our meeting is coming up on Tuesday, December 6.

Does anyone have something they would like to present?

I seem to remember a followup monad presentation might be coming. Is
that still true? I've missed so many meetings lately that I'm a bit
fuzzy on what's been talked about.

I am going to try my hardest to attend in December. I can give a brief
non-technical experience report from attending the Strangeloop and
ClojureConj conferences. Nothing to plan a meeting around, though.

Heath had some some questions that would be interesting for
discussion.

I would love to hear from any of us knowledgeable enough in Scala to
comment on this:

Just some thoughts to get us thinking a little ahead of time.

Scala's my primary work language now, and I've been following the debate re: the leaked email from Coda to Typesafe.  So I can definitely comment on it :-)

Pre-discussion, here's some context regarding the leak: http://codahale.com/the-rest-of-the-story/

Aside from that, I'm sure we could have a very interesting discussion on Clojure's new Avout library.

Yes! The Avout library is at the absolute top of my list of new
libraries to play with.

Also, I thought this was worth reading on the Scala Criticism debate.

This sucks but I have to miss the meeting this month, again.

That does suck!

I'll be there, and I've heard from a few others that they will be there, too.

I'm sure there's enough discussion around Heath's questions, Scala-bashing (w/ me defending Scala) and Clojure's Avout to make for an interesting time.

11:00 at the347, 347 Hughes road, next to Breuggers.

I had planned on going but events conspired to delay me until about noon.

My apologies, as I was one of the people that told Dave I planned on being there.
