I always thought it was nice that the book starts on my birthday.

A number of other interesting events occur on that date as events unfold.

Really?

I'm so thick -- I never notice obvious things like that. She keeps
mentioning the calendar and stuff through it, and that kind of thing
just seems to blow right past me. Duhhhh.

Well anyway, happy birthday -- a ways back. I'd wish you an interesting
year ahead, but it's pretty clear that's happening anyway.

I doubt that my birthday meant much to you, so don't feel to bad about
not noticing.
