A while back a woman visiting HLAS asked "who is Gloucester - is he
Richard III?".
And I said yes.

But there are actually a number of Gloucesters.
The Duke Humphrey in Henry IV, V and VI,
Richard in Henry VI and Richard III
and the Earl of Gloucester in King Lear.

In Henry VI, pt 2, Eleanor Cobham is Duchess of Gloucester,
and in Richard II, Eleanor de Bohun is Duchess of Gloucester,
widow of Woodstock, Duke of Gloucester (who is mentioned
but is not a character in the play).
