Production: MARLOWE (Theatre) Location: London [view map]

Employer: Griffon's Edge Productions Duration: unsure at this time,
starts late january
(Non-Equity artist contracts)

Director: D Edward Lillie. TITLE........... MARLOWE

The play is based on the last few days of Christopher Marlowe's life.
It is a play within a play where an acting troupe explores the
political, personal, and artistic aspects of his life.

The style of the show lends itself to 'gender and color blind casting'
Ie, the original workshop production had a female playing thr role of
Christopher Marlowe and a black actor portraying William Shakespeare.
The production's first fully realized amature performance had a female
actor protraying Shakespeare and an mature female actor playing the
part of Lord Bourley-William Cecil.

The cast can be as small as 8 or as many as 30. The 'acting troupe'
assumes various characters throughout the play.

Principle characters are

Christopher Marlowe

William Shakespeare

William Baines

Archbishop of Canterbury Whitgift

Lord Bourley, William Cecil

Pass the word around. I'll be there in a few weeks.

Resume/Vita, Head shot or reel can be submitted via email until
Decmember 30. I will arrive in London in mid January for local
auditions. Please remember, at this time, this is a non paying,
showcase for the play as well as the actors performing.

Production designers and tech staff as well as producers are welcome
to respond if interested in the opportunity to get involved with
something unique and special.
