Over the last decade of the United States’ “War on Terror,” the way
women and sexual minorities experience counter-terrorism has been
invisible to policymakers and the human rights community alike.
Panelists will discuss the Center for Human Rights and Global
Justice’s groundbreaking report "A Decade Lost: Locating Gender in
U.S. Counter-Terrorism" and highlight unique gender dimensions and
impacts of U.S. counter-terrorism in the United States, Asia, Africa,
and the Middle East and North Africa.
