to hugin and other free panoramic software
I tried to use Hugin today, its been running fine for sometime, but
the latest update of Zone Alarm has provoked a virus threat, and
quarantined hugin.exe because it says that hugin has win32.kme in it.

So.. i removed hugin and the downloaded again from Sourceforge but
still the same problem..

what is it about hugin that virus programs cant deal with? and
therefore what can be done..?

i know that it is unlikely that SourceForge would let loose such a
virus in free download.. unless it really wanted its own quick
demise...:)

so.. can i ignore Zone Alarm and release hugin.exe? or what? and how
can one ensure that the problem can be eliminated?

else i am back on ptviewer.

trash zone alarm.
It only gave me problems.
The neatest solution to all problems was killing all windows drivers
about network hardware and using ONLY linux for internet.

Hugin was detected as a virus in the past, but hugin setup on
sourceforge contains no virus.
I observed that many virus protection programs will detect a virus,
although there is no virus is the program. This is a bad trend in the
last months. For instance you can try to get informations about the
detected viruses in zone alarm. If they cannot give a detailed
explanation of the detected virus, it is likely that they simply use
virus signatures from elsewhere without any check of the validity.
