I don't think it is easy to replicate exactly the position of the camera/head/tripod to be able to use exactly the same control points. I guess nodal ninja and common pano heads are not precise enought to do that. What looks more reasonable is to use a template - hugin has this feature - and find the control points automatically based on the overlapping images in the template. A rotator is also important help to make the pictures in the same position in different situations.

Anyway, there are many different ways to find the control points. Here you can have a look in some:

You can try also to find some methods that use a laser pointer, like this:

If there is a way to find excellent nodal point?

I want to make a template for automatically stitching panos made  with the same angle steps (I use Nodal Ninja for that)...
The problem I found is that if you make a 7 images with a 10 degree step (72 degree lens), the same points on the right/left of first/last images does not appear in the same position when pano images are stitched together.

In fact if nodal point is set correctly - you can copy control points from two nearby images to the next and they must be still correct. So if you take cp from a set of images - you will get a huge amount of control points and get an excellent correction for lens. But as I see in my example - points from last/forst images are moved when stitched...
As I understand the only way to correct it is to correct the nodal point before taking pictures - but to my eye it is "correct". SO if there are any methods to get an excellent values for NP ?

Here is my test photos with manual CP + points duplicated between neighbor images... Maybe someone can describe the other way to correct the problem.
