I don't know your setup, but I've had the same problem. In my case it
was a forgotten version of PTBatcherGUI in /usr/local/bin that didn't
match the libraries I had installed later.

Can you tell me what happens if you open a terminal window and issue the
command "PTBatcherGUI"?
