At the following links you can find a win32 build of
hugin_2010.3.0.rev4462 ( 11 october ) with new cpfind.
The new cpfind can be used even with hugin_2010.2.0.
On the wiki there are usefull information on cpfind and control point
detectors parameters.

Thanks for posting Hugin 2010.3.0 and the cpfind binaries. I'm not an
experienced builder, compiler as alot onthis group.
With a lot of mistakes I only succeeded in building Autopano-SIFT-C
2.5.1 in a few days.
Will give CPfind a try in Hugin 2010.2

Kind regards,
Henk

I've downloaded and tested this version of Hugin.
Downloaded cpfind too.

Found the following shortcomings.

CPfind works OK in this build and in version 2010.2.0.
CPfind with Celeste doesn't work well.
Celeste standalone doesn't work well too. same very few control points
deleted.
Celeste standalone in 2010.2.0 works well.
Only very few control points removed.
Tested CPfind with Celeste in Hugin 2010.2.0 works OK and cloud points
removed.

When working in Assistant for creating a panorama, and use in the
preference tab of assistant Celeste standalone, after creating control
points Celeste crashes, but the control points are in the list.
Assistant stops and you can use Celeste under the image tab, but bad
working and only very few cloud points removed.Optimizing works too.
When not using Celeste in the assistant the process is all right, but
only too much control points on Clouds.

Further you have Autopano-SIFT-C 2.5.2 in your build. This version
doesn't work well with the default parameters in Hugin.
Advice is using version 2.5.1.
I've build version 2.5.1 and if someone is interested I will send it
by mail.
I've no webspace for downloading it.

But very nice from you give the opportunity for downloading it for
testing.
For making it better you need feedback.

Kind regards.
Henk

Cool, what's new in 2010.3 part from the cpfind as compared to the .2 just released?

Cheers

@Henk
- fixed celeste_standalone not working from assistant tab ( fixed by
tmodes )
- I have noticed that celeste ( from inside cpfind ) and
celeste_standalone remove only a few points, for example on a test set
of 12 photos:
panomatic points=240
panomatic+celeste_standalone_2010.3.0 threshold=0.5 filter=small
points=228 ( removed 12 )
panomatic+celeste_standalone_2010.3.0 threshold=0.5 filter=large
points=226 ( removed 14 )

panomatic+celeste_standalone_2010.2.0 threshold=0.5 filter=small
points=186 ( removed 54 )
panomatic+celeste_standalone_2010.2.0 threshold=0.5 filter=large
points=168 ( removed 72 )
- celeste has been rewritten/refactored from ver 2010.2.0 and it is
not easy for me to understand the differences...
- I have noticed that when running celeste_standalone from the
assistant, the makefile contains the 'filter switch inverted', ie when
filter=large the makefile passes to celeste_standalone the switch '-r
1' ( that means filter=small according to celeste_standalone's help )
- updated build: http://www.davidefabbri.net/files/panorama/hugin_2010.3.0.rev4462.7z

P.S. I forgot to remove autopano-sift-c on the previous build ( know
nothing about patents... )

@Oskar
This is the changelog from the release of hugin_2010_2.0 ( 28
september ) to hugin_2010_3.0 I built ( 11 october ).
But I don't know if this is the answer to your question.
A developer could answer your question in a more compact/readable
form.
