Carson City Hospital preparing historical display
Do you have historical items from hospital history you'd like to
share or contribute??
With the completion of the new Emergency Department facility, Carson
City Hospital is now moving forward with construction of the new
front entrance and lobby area, scheduled to open in December 2007.

Web Site Update

Hi Everyone!
I had some technical difficulties, so I couldn't update the web site
for a while. Jeremy Sheets at CMS Internet fixed it up, so we're back
in business. (CMS Internet donates the web site space -- thanks
Jeremy)
So, I've posted the HAHS and Legion newsletters from March. I know
there are newer newsletters, and I'll be posting them shortly.

A Night at the Theatre

"Some Like It Hot!" will be showing at the Historic Ionia Theatre on
Thursday, August 10th. This is a fundraiser for the Stanton Dental
Care Center's Montcalm Healthy Smiles Endowment Fund. The doors open
at 5:30 pm with hors d'oeuvres from local restaurants and the movie
starts at 7:00 pm.
Tickets are $15 at the door (or in advance). Jennifer Churchill is one

Just a quick reminder, the Hubbardston Area Historical Society
meeting will be at 7:00 PM Thursday night at the Parish Hall.
I will be giving a presentation on Ephraim Shay, the inventor of the
Shay Locomotive, his time spent living in Ionia County in the logging
industry and his time spent in the Civil War (Vicksburg campaign).
