I don't think so. Trying to see if MAF-only, minimally-shod-only =
training since last November, and moderating my carbs, doing fasted runs =
and so on makes a ~3:50 marathon both do-able but also relatively =
pleasant.

I would have qualified for Boston in the first two marathons I ran, but =
those were almost 20 years ago now... And they hurt -- in several ways, =
but mostly, it seems, because of my marshmallow shoes and broken gait as =
a result of those shoes.=20

I don't rule out going faster than 3:50, but I also don't rule out going =
slower :)=20

I'm looking at it as a training run. Either for trying to go faster in =
another marathon, or longer (ultra).
