I like (based on the photo) that it maintains full width nearly all the way to the front of the shoe (rather than the lateral edge angling in too soon, like it does on the NB Zero Minimus line for me (except the 4EE Trail)). @Brooks - release 'em now!

i guess my main gripe is that the shoe bs was treated as if it was a fad and fashion issue instead of a health and wellness issue....

Hopefully it's not a marshmellow like the Hattori. The real challenge
seems to be firmness and low-weight in one material. Altra did it
pretty well, but my instinct forefoot has compressed a good amount
after 260 miles or so. Messes with my form if I'm not conscious of
it.
Good idea regarding the insole but I can't really see myself in a pair
of these, just not my style. And I think I'd end up catching my big
toe all the time. Besides I'm very happy with my rotation of TG and
MT110 for the moment, I know those new inov-8's will be tempting but
I'll have to wait until one of the afore mentioned gives up.

I absolutely love my Pure Grit and am on my second pair. All my trail shoes are part-time road shoes as well. Loving the Pure line, and not having a road shoe yet, these could be a great step for the occasional times I am on the road. The new sole designs of 2nd generation Pure's looks nice. Big fan of the Pure line so far!
+1 :) pure love for the pure grit. I saw the womens first generation Pure
Grit on clearance for $65, one pair, my size. now i have two. wish i could
get 3rd pair. yes, also use them as road shoes.
