I don't know if my feet grew any, but they got used to not being cramped any more. It was right after I went minimalist that I found a floor mat at a local store that had outlines of shoe soles in different sizes. The size that I had been wearing was plenty long enough, but the largest size on the chart was not wide enough to accommodate all my toes. I was just used to them being crammed and useless though, and didn't know better.

You've got to be effin' kidding me. I don't want this to continue for 15 years!!!
First three years: wearing minimalist shoes once in a while: no change.
Second two years: wearing minimalist shoes all the time, + 1/2 size, minor increase in width.
The biggest difference has been the big toe on my right foot has straightened out, causing all sorts of issues with shoes...

Both big toes straightened, but the right straightened more, which I think is a function of the issues on that foot more than anything else.

Huh. No jokes yet about the size of a man's feet as an indicator of the size of something else? Maybe your feet size isn't the only thing you should have been keeping track of...

Did you change your diet or heal from an injury around that time?

That is very interesting as only my right big toe has straightened out. I haven't had any serious problems with my legs but whenever I get a minor ake it seems to be always on the left one. Is that the one that bothers you all the time?
Yes. It still bothers me all the time. I wish it would stop.
The bootfitter who gave me the orthotic for my ski boot commented that I have a lot of "damage" in that ankle. I hope he's mistaken... I'm hoping that the constant aches and pains from the ligaments and tendons in that foot indicate that at some point it will straighten up and fly right...
And just a note for newbies on this topic: I was having issues with this foot/leg long before going minimalist...

Sorry to hear, I am sure the bootfitter is mistaken... I haven't noticed this until your post and it's actually sort of weird. I can straighten the right one very easily but the left one just won't move, here's is a picture:

My foot has grown by a half size at most. I've been doing most of my running barefoot for two years now (around 20 miles a week overall). If not running barefoot, it's vibrams or lunas. Outside of running, I stick to minimalist footwear the vast majority of the time (flip flops, terra plana, NB minimus).
I've been surprised at the lack of obvious change in my feet. There's no doubt my feet are much stronger and I have thicker soles, but from the top, I don't think my feet look much different and I can wear all of my old shoes -- they do fit more snugly now, but it's not like I couldn't wear them (hence I estimate maybe a half size growth from 10 1/2 to 11).
My toes are all scrunched together from 40 years of wearing standard shoes laced tightly, btw, so it's not like they couldn't spread, they just haven't to any noticeable degree.
I honestly don't know, I am goofey-footed (meaning left leg behind) on a skate/surfboard if that helps you. When I was a kid I was told I was lefty footed (right handed) but not sure how they found out?.

I just got measured at a 13 (I was an 11.5 in HS/College), then a 12
for a long time. I can't explain it. I wear the 12 in Merrell TGs
and I've noticed my toes are right up against the end. Sucks, cause
now I have to justify another round of shoes to my wife. And she's
heard enough.

I was just thinking about this same topic when I bought new shoes
yesterday. In 3 months of running minimalist style, my shoe size is
now half a size longer!
Flat sandals which I couldn't wear before, are now so comfy.

My foot is getting bigger around the arch. My wife thought my ankle was swollen from fluids from the sore knee. The girth around my arch is the biggest problem now when I were shoes. This is my third year barefooting. The years before that of shod running did not produce any change.
2+ years into the minimalism thing and my feet have gone up a 1/2 size in length, but have exploded sideways. From D to 4E. I think they've stabilized though. No additional widening in about 6 months. So, I'm shoe shopping again...
