Hi there,

In our intranet there is already proxy that the IT department has
configured. This has been specified in the IE settings.

I was wondering if fiddler can be used in such environment?

At the moment i am having problems from application who use the
settings from Control Panel since when i start fiddler this settings
are modified.

Looking forward to your response.

Sincerely
Dan

Yes, this works just fine. By default, Fiddler inserts itself between
your computer and the upstream proxy, so the upstream proxy is still
used. This is how everyone at Microsoft uses Fiddler.

Any way to make it the proxy for net webrequest?

Various properties for proxy exist on the req and the class, but dont
work easily.

By default, Fiddler typically is automatically used by System.NET
requests.

See http://www.fiddler2.com/fiddler/help/hookup.asp#Q-DOTNET for more
on this topic.

The gotchas noted in that discussion are the likely cause of earlier
failure.

Thanks.
