Fiddler stopped working for one application

I am about to go mad, please help. I think this all started with a
crash of my computer, which may have changed something in my Windows
profile.
Fiddler captures firefox and IE traffic, but no longer captures
traffic of another application. It used to work like a charm. I have
tried to uninstall both fiddler and the other application, rebooted a
million times, tried to manually delete all fiddler references out of
the registry before reinstalling... Tried the help pages and Internet
Options configuration.... Nothing seems to help.
Any thoughts?
