Hello,

I was testing your plugin cross-browser, and I'm having some trouble with IE8. The player seems to load fine, and it displays the poster image, but then minutes pass before I am able to play the video; where the play button would be, the pause button is instead, and clicking pause doesn't seem to do anything.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I should add: I looked at the "Help! My video won't play!" section of the Embedding Video page on the wiki; the headers are fine, it's not locally hosted so I didn't do anything to my Flash security settings, and all of the videos were encoded with Miro.

Thanks again! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hmm. If the video is taking ages to load using the Flash player, then it sounds like your video is suffering from the index atom being at the end of the video, meaning that it has to download the whole video before it can start playing. Boo!

The solution is to run the mp4 video through QTIndexSwapper.

Good luck!

Dave.
